PROJECT OVERVIEW
A relocatable LandCorp sales office at Perry Lakes, manufactured and installed in a single day each using SIPs modular construction.
LandCorp required a relocatable sales office at Perry Lakes that could be delivered quickly, perform well above the energy standards of a conventional transportable building, and do so within a standard transportable building budget. The brief ruled out conventional modular construction, which typically requires significant structural steel and offers limited thermal performance.
SIPs Industries manufactured the 180m² office in the Bibra Lake factory in a single day. The completed modules were transported to the Perry Lakes site and installed in one day, with SIPs By Design panels eliminating the need for much of the structural steel a conventional transportable building of this size would require.
The project won the HIA GreenSmart Partnership Award. The construction method delivered a highly energy-efficient, low-carbon building at a cost comparable to standard transportable construction, demonstrating that performance and budget are not in conflict when the right system is chosen.
