Georgiou required a construction solution for the Hollywood Hospital Mental Health Unit in Nedlands that could meet a demanding programme while accommodating the complex service requirements of a specialist healthcare environment. The facility needed to support specialised communication and medical systems, and the nature of the end use placed high expectations on acoustic separation, fire performance, and occupant comfort throughout the build.
SIPs Industries supplied the wall and roof panel system for the project, with panels manufactured off-site and delivered to the Nedlands site ready for installation. The supply program was coordinated around the complex service integration requirements of the healthcare brief, with the SIPs building envelope providing acoustic control and fire performance as inherent characteristics of the panel system rather than additions to it.
Installation was completed in 40 days. The insulated panel system delivered the thermal, acoustic and fire performance the facility required as a standard outcome of the construction method, without additional remediation or upgrades on site.
