PROJECT OVERVIEW

An architecturally designed residence in Margaret River where SIPs supplied the insulated envelope for a contemporary rural home with vaulted living spaces.
When designer Daniel Patterson began planning a contemporary rural residence in Margaret River, the brief called for a building that could deliver refined architectural detail alongside genuine thermal performance in a bush setting. The design combined a steel portal frame, Colorbond cladding and expansive glazing, and required an insulated envelope system precise enough to accommodate the home's distinctive vaulted living spaces without compromising the architectural intent.
SIPs Industries supplied the wall and roof panel system, with panels precision-manufactured to integrate with the steel portal frame and support the vaulted ceiling geometry specified in the design. The supply-only program was coordinated with builder Cody Worrall to ensure the SIPs envelope was delivered and ready to install within the construction sequence.
The completed home sits comfortably within its forest setting, with the insulated SIPs envelope providing year-round thermal comfort as a direct result of the construction method. The precision of the prefabricated system also allowed the vaulted spaces and architectural detailing to be resolved cleanly on site.

Award-Winning. Airtight. Perth Hills Perfect.
