SIPs Industries  specialises in the manufacture & installation of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs).  We are a Perth based company seeking someone with experience working in a similar role in the structural insulated panel industry to support and maintain our factory and its equipment on site. If you have formal degree qualifications and are confident with dealing with multiple projects, then we would like to hear from you.

To be successful for this full-time/permanent role, you will have:

  • A relevant degree and 2 to 5 years' experience within Mechanical / Plant engineering field and a real passion for engineering and a strong desire to be challenged and to succeed in this field.
  • Be able to focus on a number of simultaneous projects Be a "hands-on", practical person with a strong interest for onsite based work.
  • Practical skill set in production of timber manufactured structural insulated panels.
  • Be able to demonstrate a particular interest in Automation Systems.
  • Have excellent presentation, organisation and communication Skills.
  • Hold a current Motor Drivers License (MDL).
  • Additional: Work Safe licences will be regarded and beneficial.

The Role:

You should have experience with the technical aspects of the company's products and services. Your experience should include the areas of engineering and managing projects, maintenance, trouble shooting and rectification of faults, optimising the production process to maximise production efficiency while meeting standard operating procedures, quality standards and specifications, and respecting the company's quality assurance policy.

Responsible for the organisation, management direction and control of all factory functional departments and to ensure that production output meets set quality and forecast requirements.

The role includes hands on working in production and  assembly of SIP's products Maintenance planning and scheduling in order to best meet order requirements. This includes working closely with the factory manager on all customer orders in order to achieve timely deliveries.

Assure production standards are maintained through vigilant administration and hands on approach for a continued high standard of manufacturing, employee awareness and training programs, adherence to high level of housekeeping standards etc.

Getting directly involved in all processes in the factory. This includes plant improvement or expansion projects.

Assisting with decisions regarding the factory layout, size and range of tools, equipment and resources, design and arrangement of work processes.

Selecting and maintaining equipment, both in the factory and on site, supervising product standards and enforcing quality-control programs.

Base Salary: $60,000 per annum.
